Fencing at UNISA | 2nd DAY
The italian fencer, Erica Cipressa, on the second day of competition at the PalaUnisa in Baronissi, triumphed in the individual women’s foil, a fairytale match for Italy that also saw Camilla Mancini, bronze medal, on the podium. Erica Cipressa, Venetian foilist of the Fiamme Oro, beat the French fencer Morgane Patru in the final with a clear 15-3 who in the semifinals had beaten 15-13 Camilla Mancini from Lazio. In the other bout of the day, the male epee, there was a gold medal for the Czech Rubes who defeated the Russian Gusev with a score of 7-6. The path of the italian team, Valerio Cuomo and Federico Vismara, ended in the second round.
