UNISA for Summer Universiade 2019

Move into the new Unisa Sport Village!

Not only sports facilities and services, but also the adaptation and improvement of the internal roads. The new access roundabout and new Bus Terminal that will facilitate the internal mobility and travelling between the two campuses were inaugurated today at the Baronissi campus.

“Within the word Universiade, there is also the word Unisa: it’s like a play on words but instead it’s a fact – declared the rector Aurelio Tommasetti – Our University, for how it is preparing for the event, the sports facilities built and hosted directly on our campuses, will be one with the 2019 Universiade. On the Unisa campus, the atmosphere of the event will really be felt, which in itself is born to combine young people, sports and universities In addition to the sports facilities, we have created a series of works that are also decisive for the territory: the new Bus Terminal, the new roundabouts, as well as the autonomy of the Citadel of Sport so that it can also be visited on Saturdays and Sundays. The conditions to give the community and the territory state-of-the-art infrastructures, to be used next week for the Fencing and in the future for the national competitions to improve the quality of sport in our area”.

The program “Unisa for Universiade” continues on Thursday, June 27th at 10.30 am on the Baronissi campus for the presentation of the new PALAUNISA B and C.
