The final day of fencing
At PalaUnisa, on the Baronissi campus, the sixth and final day dedicated to fencing at the Summer Universiade Napoli2019 gave Italy two more gold medals: the men’s and women’s saber teams triumphed. Italy thus closed with 13 medals, including 5 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze, coming first on the medal table.
The Italian foilists, with Damiano Rosatelli, Guillaume Bianchi and Francesco Ingargiola exulted in the final overcoming Korea with a score of 45-22, while in third place Russia, which beat Australia with a score of 45-23.
The Italian female sabre team, with Lucia Lucarini, Michela Battiston and Rebecca Gargano, after defeating Russia in the semifinals, 45-33, beat France in the final, 45-41. Third place for Korea that swept Russia away with a score of 45-29.

What beautiful days!
