Venues
The UNISA sports facilities that will be the scene of the 2019 Universiade races and training are:
- PALAUNISA A has been affected by an overall redevelopment, with an extension of more than 60% of its gross surface area, through the addition of two buildings destined for new dressing rooms;
- PALAUNISA B is the new sports hall built in the outdoor area previously occupied by the basketball court. The new building has a surface area of about 1000 square meters and an internal free surface of 900 square meters;
- PALAUNISA C is another new sports arena, built by permanently covering the external area previously occupied by the basketball court. The new surface covered by the tent structure has a total area of 1390 square meters (plan dimensions 44m x 31.5m) and a maximum height of 14.9 m;
- UNISA-ADISURC ATHLETES’ VILLAGE: the University of Salerno will host the Athletes’ Village in the university residences, managed by the ADISURC. The Village will host the 1048 athletes protagonists of the event;
- HOSPITAL PRESIDIUM: the University of Salerno is the only institution that will see an Hospital Centre in the campus, set up by Dr. Nicola Maffulli, Professor of Orthopedics, chosen for its high expertise and already responsible for the London 2012 Olympics;
