SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES OR SPECIFIC LEARNING DISORDERS (SLD)
The University of Salerno offers specialized services to provide students with disabilities with equal educational opportunities, full integration, actual participation and self-reliance. In particular, the service includes:
- reception
- assistance for administrative procedures
- preparation of auxiliary teaching aids for those with no access to traditional paper materials
- implementation of dedicated computer aids and equipment
- special tutoring within the departments
- orientation for enrolling, enrolled, and leaving students
- posting of ad hoc notices and funding for international mobility
- support for students with dyslexia or other SLDs
- recreation and social integration
- counseling
- support for transportation within the Campus area
- assistance with test completion (entrance tests, admission tests for postgraduate courses, curricular exams)
- assessing and monitoring accessibility to campus facilities
- assistance with the assignment of adequately equipped rooms within the university residences
GENERAL MEDICAL CENTRE
Located in building M2 on Viale Galileo Galilei, the centre provides first-aid care and possible free specialist visits for students as part of the regional screening. Rescue and emergency transportation service is available Monday to Friday.
REFRESHMENT POINTS
The campus hosts several cafés acting as refreshment and meeting points.
STUDY ROOMS
Students have access to numerous study rooms, some of which are equipped with computers. Ten study rooms at the Fisciano campus are also open on weekends.
INTERNET POINT
Located on the first floor of building C, the Internet Point features computer stations equipped with scanners, to connect with online student services.
Opening times: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 13:00pm.
POST OFFICE – BANK
The campus features a bank (building M3) and a post office (building M2), both on Viale Galileo Galilei.
POLICE STATION
A police station is situated at the Fisciano Campus on Viale Galileo Galilei (building M3). The office manages the following matters: issuance and renewal of passports, filing reports and complaints, protection and prevention.
CHAPEL
Dedicated to St. Gregory VII, the chapel is located on the ground floor of building D3, on Viale della Conoscenza at the Fisciano campus. It has approximately 100 seats.
